About Donald Cartridge

  • Donald Colin Cartridge (31 December 1933 – 24 September 2016) was an English first-class cricketer from Sholing, Southampton, Hampshire.
  • A right-handed batsman who bowled right-arm off break, from 1951 to 1953 he represented the Hampshire Second XI in the Minor Counties Championship, making five appearances during that period. Cartridge made his first-class debut for Hampshire in the 1953 County Championship season, against Oxford University.
  • Cartridge played an additional two matches, both coming in the County Championship against Yorkshire and Surrey.
  • Cartridge made no further appearances for the club after 1953. He died on 24 September 2016.
