Major Sir Edward Hale Tindal Atkinson, KCB, CBE (19 September 1878 – 26 December 1957) was a British barrister and judge who served as the Director of Public Prosecutions from 1930 to 1944.
After studying at Trinity College, Oxford, Atkinson built up a substantial practice as a barrister.
His volunteer work in the First World War subsequently forced him to stop practising at the bar.
