About Elizabeth Woolcock
- Elizabeth Lillian Woolcock (née Oliver; 20 April 1848 – 30 December 1873) was an Australian murderer who was hanged in Adelaide Gaol for the murder of her husband Thomas Woolcock by mercury poisoning.
- She remains the only woman ever executed in South Australia and is buried between the outer and inner prison walls.
- It has been argued that she may have been a victim of domestic violence and suffered from battered spouse syndrome.
