About Frasat Ali

  • Frasat Ali Mughal (born 31 July 1949) was an cricketing all-rounder who played for the East African cricket team.
  • He played in East Africa's inaugural international One Day International against New Zealand, their first match of the 1975 World Cup.
  • In that match, he made a score of 45, the highest ever by anybody from the East African cricket team.
  • He never took a wicket with his medium pacers.
  • He is one of the well known players of the team and currently resides in Great Britain, In London, where he is also coaching a small youth team. Frasat Ali was also the first player for opening the batting as well as bowling in a same ODI when he did it in 1975 ICC Cricket World Cup for East Africa.
