- Gary Kinchen (January 13, 1941 – August 17, 2011) was an American football player and coach.
- He served as the head football coach at Nicholls State University from 1972 to 1973, compiling a record of 5–17.Kinchen was an alumnus of the Louisiana State University (LSU), where he played college football as a center for the LSU Tigers from 1960 to 1962.
- Prior to taking the head coaching position at Nicholls State, Kinchen served as an assistant at the University of Southwestern Louisiana, Tulane University and Rice University (offensive/defensive line).
- He was also an assistant coach and head coach at Glen Oaks High School in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
