- He served as the head football coach at Idaho State University in Pocatello from 1953 to 1965, compiling a record of 79–38–2 (.672), and then became assistant athletic director.
- Caccia was the athletic director at Idaho State from 1979 to 1986. Caccia was born on October 3, 1917 in Pocatello, Idaho; he died in Pocatello at age 91 in 2009.
