His senior commands include commanding officer of the Coastal Ranger School, Vaxholm Coastal Artillery Regiment, the Northern Coast Marine Command and the Swedish Armed Forces International Command.
After retiring from the military, Hedén served as governor of Gripsholm Castle and Strömsholm Castle.
