Julie Slama (born May 2, 1996 in Lincoln, Nebraska) is an American politician and a Nebraska state senator in the unicameral Nebraska Legislature representing District 1.
Slama is a Republican and fifth-generation Nebraskan from Peru.
She filled Dan Watermeier's vacancy in Legislative District 1 on January 9, 2019.
Upon taking office, Slama became the youngest female state senator in Nebraska history at age 22.
Slama's first year in the Nebraska Legislature included successful efforts to strengthen Nebraska's civics education statutes and a comprehensive package to crack down on human trafficking.
She was named the 2019 Young Republicans National Legislator of the Year.In December 2019, Slama was named one of Forbes 30 under 30 in Law and Policy.
