  • He served as the head football coach at the University of Washington in 1901 and at the University of Kentucky in 1903, compiling a career college football record of 10–4.
  • Wright later worked as a judge after earning his degree from Columbia Law School in 1902.
  • He died in 1931 after suffering a heart attack.
  • At the time of his death, he was candidate for the Cayuga County judge as well as the city recorder for Auburn, New York.
  • He was interred in Indian Mound Cemetery in Moravia.
