About Jawahir Thontowi
- Jawahir Thontowi was born in West Java, on 8 September 1956.
- He is currently working as a lecturer in the Universitas Islam Indonesia.
- His education background is from the Law faculty of the Islamic University of Indonesia and on 1999 graduated his PhD from the University of Western Australia concerning Legal Anthropology. He was a member of the Constitution Commission RI 2003-2004 1, and received various awards and acknowledgments.

Jawahir Thontowi is a professor in legal anthropology and he is an expert on the subject.
