About Jim Burrow

  • Jim Burrow, commonly known as Jimmy Burrow, is a former all-star defensive back in the Canadian Football League and the National Football League and retired college coach. Burrow was drafted by the Green Bay Packers in the eighth round of the 1976 NFL Draft and played that season with the team.
  • Following his time with the Packers, he played in the Canadian Football League with the Montreal Alouettes, the Calgary Stampeders, and the Ottawa Rough Riders. He played college football at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln.Burrow's last coaching position was as defensive coordinator for Ohio University from 2005 until his retirement after the 2018 season.
  • At the time of his retirement, he had been one of the longest-tenured coordinators in Division I football.
  • He was Associate Head Coach from 2015 until his retirement.
