About Jim Preas
- James Henry Preas (June 22, 1893 – January 1965) was an American football coach.
- Preas was the first head football coach at The Apprentice School in Newport News, Virginia and he held that position for three seasons, from 1919 until 1921.
- His coaching record at Apprentice was 18–3–1. He was a player on Coach John Heisman's Georgia Tech football team.
- Preas kicked 18 PATs and scored a touchdown in the legendary 222-0 Tech victory over Cumberland College on October 7, 1916.
- In 1919, he married Evangeline Horman.
- He died in 1965 and was buried in his hometown.
