John Edward Smith (3 September 1914 – 1989), commonly known as Ted Smith, was an English footballer who played as full back, and a coach. Smith represented Millwall F.C.
in the late 1930s, he then coached Benfica from 1948 to 1952 guiding them to their first international trophy.
