- John Franklin "Johnny" Mitchell (August 9, 1894 – November 4, 1965) was an American professional baseball shortstop.
- He played five seasons in Major League Baseball (MLB) between 1921 and 1925 for the New York Yankees, Boston Red Sox, Brooklyn Robins.Six years after he was retired, Mitchell died of a heart attack at a nursing home on November 4, 1965.
- He was survived by his daughter, Beatrice Rogers.
