About Joseph Francel
- Joseph Francel (September 2, 1895 – January 25, 1981) was an electrician from Cairo, New York, who served as the state of New York's executioner from 1939 to 1953.
- He executed 137 people, including Raymond Fernandez and Martha Beck and Julius and Ethel Rosenberg.
- Francel is buried in section 4 of Cairo Cemetery, near the village that bears the same name.
