About Jungle Drummer
- Chris Polglase (born 12 January 1978 in Newcastle), known professionally as The Jungle Drummer, is an electronic music session drummer.
- He is most noted for his work with DJ Fu (who mixed and scratched while Polglase performed) and live drum and bass act London Elektricity.
- He has also performed with artists such as Grooverider, Timbaland, A Guy Called Gerald, and others.His new musical project is Extinction Point, in which he produced and played the drums on the first EP London Wake Up. The result is a blend of Jazz improvisation with the sonic experimentation of the golden era of British Electronica set to a backdrop of solid Funk, Soul and Jungle breakbeat grooves. The themes of the music address the everyday struggles of life in 21st century society, traversing politics, poverty, racism, crime, violence, addiction, depression, love, loss and hope.
