Robin Michael Lawrence (born 12 December 1947) commonly known as Lennie Lawrence, is an English football manager, coach and former player.
He is currently employed as a First Team Management Consultant for EFL League Two side Newport County.
As a player he only appeared as a semi-professional player for Croydon, Carshalton Athletic and Sutton United.
He moved into coaching in 1978 as caretaker manager of Plymouth Argyle.
He went on to manage Charlton Athletic before managing Middlesbrough during their debut season in the Premier League.
Later spells with Bradford City, Luton Town and Grimsby Town followed before ending his managerial career with a three year stint as boss of Cardiff City.
He is one of a select few managers to have managed over 1,000 games.
Since 2005 Lawrence has worked at a number of clubs as either part of the coaching staff or in a 'Director of Football' role.
