About Mehraj Ahmed

  • Mehraj Ahmed (born 5 January 1989) is an English first-class cricketer.
  • He is a right-handed batsman and a right-arm medium-fast bowler who played for Worcestershire until his release at the end of the 2009 season.
  • He was born in Birmingham. Ahmed, who had represented Worcestershire's Second XI since 2006, made his List A debut in the Friends Provident Trophy in May 2008, and made his first-class debut against Loughborough UCCE in the same week. He played in the Birmingham District Premier Cricket League for many years.
  • He had previously played for Barnt Green CC from 2005 to 2009.
  • He then moved to Walsall CC in 2010, and played in the Birmingham Premier League with Attock CC in 2011. In 2011 he also played one game for Derbyshire Second XI.
  • He scored 348 runs in league games for Attock CC in 2011 but excelled as a T20 opening batsman helping Attock CC reach the semifinals of the Birmingham District Premier Cricket League Cup.
  • Now he is playing for Sparkhill united in Birmingham Parks league
