- Kennelly, S.J., (May 22, 1914 – January 3, 2011) was an Irish-born American Jesuit and academic administrator.
- He was a member of the Society of Jesus for more than seventy-seven years.Kennelly served as the 13th president of Loyola University New Orleans from 1970 until 1974.
- He was also the founder of Strake Jesuit College Preparatory in Houston, Texas.
- Kennelly spent thirty-three of his years of his priesthood working in Tampa, Florida on three separate occasions.
