- He is a right handed batsman.
- He has represented Punjab and the Sialkot Stallions.
- He has selected for Test series against Sri Lanka in 2012 season.
- Ayub met his wife in Oxford, UK whilst on tour to the UK.
- He is married to British Citizen Jubeen Ashraf, Ba(Hons) graduate from Oxford, and they share three children together.
