About Muzaffar Hussain Baig
- Muzaffar Hussain Baig is a former deputy chief minister of Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir(J&K).
- He is a leader of the Jammu and Kashmir People's Democratic Party and till 2006 was deputy chief minister.
- He was elected to the Legislative Assembly of the J&K state in 2002 and 2008.
- He is also the current Chief Spokesperson for the Jammu and Kashmir People's Democratic Party.
- He also held the position of Law Minister and Parliamentary Affairs Minister in the state cabinet from the period of 2002-2006. Muzzafar Baig was the Advocate General of Jammu and Kashmir from 1987-1989.
- He stated his political career in 1996 with Jammu and Kashmir People's Conference Party where he held the position of Vice-Chairman.
- In 2002 he fought the election with the Jammu and Kashmir People's Democratic Party and won from Baramulla constituency. He is a lawyer who has got his master's degree from Harvard Law School.
- Besides working in law firms in USA and New Delhi in India, Muzaffar Baig was also the Advocate General of the J&K.
- He was born in Wahidna, a small hilly village in Baramulla district of the Kashmir valley. Baig was elected to the Lok Sabha in 2014 from Baramulla.
