Tr?n Minh Tông (4 September 1300 – 10 March 1357), real name Tr?n M?nh (??), was the fifth emperor of the Tr?n dynasty who ruled Ð?i Vi?t from 1314 to 1329.
After ceding the throne to his son Tr?n Hi?n Tông, Minh Tông held the title of Retired Emperor (Vietnamese: Thái thu?ng hoàng) for 29 years.
As the last emperor in the prosperous period of Tr?n dynasty, Minh Tông was known for his successful reign of Ð?i Vi?t with the assistance of many talented mandarins.
Minh Tông was also the longest-reigning retired emperor in history of Vietnam when he acted as a regent and co-ruled with Hi?n Tông and D? Tông.
His death marked a significant turning point in the history of the Tr?n Dynasty, as the country began to decline and soon fell into troubled times.
