Paul Joseph Chryst (born November 17, 1965), nicknamed Coach Dad, is an American football coach and former player.
He is currently the head football coach for the Wisconsin Badgers.
Chryst had previously been the head coach at the University of Pittsburgh, from 2012 to 2014.
Prior to serving as head coach, Chryst had previously been the offensive coordinator at Wisconsin from 2005 through 2011.
He also served in the same capacity at Oregon State University and was an assistant coach for the San Diego Chargers of the National Football League.
Chryst played college football at Wisconsin, where he lettered as a quarterback and tight end from 1986 to 1988.
