About Peter Garnsey
- Peter David Arthur Garnsey, (born 22 October 1938) is a retired British classicist and academic.
- He was a fellow of Jesus College, Cambridge from 1974 to 2006, and a professor of the history of classical antiquity at the University of Cambridge from 1997 to 2006.
- His area of research concerns the history of political theory, intellectual history, social and economic history, food, famine and nutrition, and physical anthropology.
