Narayana Murti (born 31 December 1954) is an Indian film actor, screenwriter, director, composer, singer, dancer and producer.
He works predominantly in Telugu Cinema.
He owns a film production company called Sneha Chitra Pictures.
He is known for left-oriented films that expose the exploitation of society's lower strata.
His films adopt themes like the atrocities of the upper classes against the helpless and in recent times, Telangana Movement.
In 1994, he directed Erra Sainyam.
It is the only film that earned box-office collections of more than 1 crore of rupees in Telangana Area (Nizam) only after Chiranjeevi's blockbusters.His films address contemporary social problems such as unemployment, World Bank policies, problems in developing countries, environmental issues, dams, rehabilitation problems, land issues, political turmoil, etc.
