  • David Ian Jones (born 22 March 1952) is a British Conservative Party politician and former solicitor.
  • He has been the Member of Parliament (MP) for Clwyd West since 2005.
  • He has held several ministerial posts in Westminster; most recently as Minister of State at the Department for Exiting the European Union.
  • He was dismissed from his role on 12 June 2017.He is the first Welsh secretary to have served as an Assembly Member, and the first Conservative Welsh Secretary to represent a Welsh constituency since Nicholas Edwards (1979–87).
