  • The campaign, which was known by the acronym, "R.A.M.I.," captured seven of the twelve available seats on the University's Student Association Senate, giving the R.A.M.I.
  • members majority control over $1.3 million in student activity funds.
  • In the mid-1970s, he was known as "Hoops Hanash," a local hometown basketball hero.
  • During his tenure with the Buffum Street Bombers, he developed a shot known as the "Sky Way," named after an elevated stretch of highway in downtown Buffalo.
  • The "Sky Way" was later adopted by Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and renamed the "Sky Hook." He led the UP Gold softball team in hits and runs through the first four games of the 2015 season.
