About Ron Harvey (Australian rules footballer)

  • Ronald Joseph "Ron" Harvey (11 November 1935 – 25 October 1991) was an Australian rules footballer who played with Fitzroy in the VFL. Harvey played mostly as a ruckman but was also used up forward on occasions.
  • He was a member of Fitzroy's 1959 Night Premiership team and won their best and fairest award the same year.
  • In 1962 he finished equal 6th in the Brownlow Medal and twice represented Victoria in his career.
