Sachi Koto (born October 15, 1951) was a news anchor on CNN Headline News for 16 years, usually during weekend evenings, until her contract expired in July 2005.
At age 54, CNN decided not to renew her contract.
She is also a founder of WWAAC (Who's Who in Asian American Communities).
Koto is a third-generation Japanese American.
She worked at various radio and television stations in Atlanta and Tokyo for nine years before joining CNN.
She now runs her own communications company, Sachi Koto Communications, LLC.
She graduated from Clarkston High School.
She has a degree in communications from Reinhardt College in Waleska, Georgia, from which she graduated valedictorian.
