- Maryam Alqatan (Arabic: ???? ???????; born June 28, 1969), better known as Shemayel (Arabic: ??????), is a Kuwaiti former singer. Discovered by Kuwaiti composer Adel Al-Musaileem, Shemayel released her first album in 1998 and has since released three more albums to her name.
