The Miss Montana USA competition is the pageant that selects the representative for the state of Montana in the Miss USA pageant.
From 1994 to 2007, it was directed by Carol Hirata and the Carlton Group, based in Bellvue, Colorado.
In 2008, it was taken by Pageant NW Productions based in Puyallup, Washington.
Montana is one of the least successful states in Miss USA history, but there has been success in other pageants.

Tietjen in 1958, placed in the Top 15, and has not done so in the modern era.
Miss Montana USA 2005 Amanda Kimmel was chosen to represent the United States in the 2005 Miss Earth pageant.
Although she failed to place at Miss USA, Kimmel finished in the Top 8 at Miss Earth and became famous on her starring role in Survivor: China, Survivor: Micronesia and Survivor: Heroes vs.
Villains.
Merissa Underwood of Bozeman was crowned Miss Montana USA 2020 on September 15, 2019 at University of Montana Dennison Theater in Missoula.
She will represent Montana for the title of Miss USA 2020 on the spring of 2020.
