Steven Richard Wright (born August 30, 1984) is an American professional baseball pitcher who is currently a free agent.
Wright has played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Boston Red Sox, having made his MLB debut in 2013; he was an All-Star in 2016.
He is known for his knuckleball pitch.
He has received two World Series rings from 2013 and 2018 as was on the active roster, but did not play in the playoffs.
Wright's tenure with the Red Sox was marred by injuries, legal disputes, and suspensions for domestic violence and violation of the league's drug policy.
