About Thomas-Chaloner Bisse-Challoner
- Thomas-Chaloner Bisse-Challoner DL, JP (1788–1872) was a British militia colonel who enlarged the former country house and landscape garden in 600 acres (2.4 km2) at Portnall Park, Virginia Water.
- This laid the foundation for the Wentworth Estate and much of the opulent wealth of the area, alongside its proximity for Windsor Great Park.
- He inherited much of his fortune principally via his great-aunt Lydia Challoner and cousin Valentina Aynscombe.
