- Demery (born July 18, 1949 in Detroit, Michigan) was a Republican consultant working for HUD when he was chosen to be Assistant Secretary of the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) during the Reagan administration.
- In 1993 he pleaded guilty and was convicted of bribery and obstruction of justice during his tenure in the Reagan administration for accepting bribes in exchange for government contracts.
