- William English "Brit" Kirwan (born April 14, 1938) is the Chancellor Emeritus of the University System of Maryland (USM).
- He served in the position from August 2002 through June 30, 2015.
- Before that, Kirwan was the 26th President of the University of Maryland, College Park and the 12th President of Ohio State University.
- He was also a member of the faculty at the University of Maryland for 34 years.
