- André Fontaine (St Gédeon, Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean, March 6, 1926 – Quebec, January 30, 2005) was a painter known as "The Painter of the stars" and a newspaper journalist.
- He founded his movement in painting,(the cosmonitic art), in Quebec, being the first to use fiberglass.
- He was recognized worldwide and skirted famous names, including Walt Disney who dedicated a Mickey Mouse cartoon published in newspapers around the world.
