About Nhật Sơn
- Nh?t Son, real name Vu Minh Son, Ho Chi Minh City Vietnam, August 29, 1981 - Ho Chi Minh City Vietnam, September 14, 2013.
- He was the son of Ngh? si Minh C?nh and Ngh? si Ki?u My.By age six, he started performing, singing traditional Vietnamese C?i luong music and Vietnamese pop songs as well under the stage name C?nh Son.
- He travelled throughout the country with a group of famous singers and comedians like Siu Black, Thanh Lam, Quang Linh, Minh Thu?n, Duy Ng?c, Duy Phuong, Huong Loan, Ng?c Thành and his sister Ki?u Nhi, and became well-known with the songs ‘Lòng m?’ (Ng?c Son) and ‘Còn thuong rau d?ng m?c sau hè’ (B?c Son). At the age of 14 he had to stop singing for a while, because his voice started changing.
- At age 19, he made his comeback under his new stage name Nh?t Son, not singing traditional anymore but Vietnamese POP-music. At the end of 2006 he recorded his first album Tôi v?n hát (I still sing) which was released in January 2007.The composers were Nguy?n Nh?t Huy and Hoài An; arrangements Lý Hu?nh Long and producer Winfried Povel from The Netherlands.
- For 3 of the 10 songs were made video clips by directors Ðoàn Minh Tu?n and Lâm Lê Dung, which were added on a DVD into this album. In the Live-show Tôi v?n hát at Nhà Thi Ð?u Nguy?n Du in HCMC he presented himself again to the audience.
- Director of the show was Lâm Lê Dung who was one of the directors of Vietnam Idol as well.
- It was recorded on tape and broadcast on TV.
- A few months later the DVD of that show was released.In January 2008 followed his second album V?t tình.
- Composers: Ð? Ðình Phúc & Lý Hu?nh Long, with all the same musicians and same crew.In the meantime he was in many TV-shows like Quà t?ng trái tim, G?p G? Ngôi Sao, Saigon Teen, Teen Pop, Th? Gi?i Âm Nh?c, Trò Chuy?n V?i Ngôi Sao, Nh?p C?u Ngh? Si and S?c màu V-teen, for National (HTV - VTV) and Regional Television (BTV - DNTV - THVL), and he performed on the big stages of HCMC like Lan Anh, Không Tên and Tr?ng Ð?ng.
- The last years he was performing as C?nh Son as well when he sang traditional C?i luong music, together with his aunt Ngh? si Bích H?nh. Nh?t Son was killed out of jealousy by his partner -with whom he lived together for 1 year- on September 14, 2013 in HCMC.After Nh?t Sons death his producer Winfried Povel started working again on the demo-tracks of the 3rd unfinished album Nh? vô cùng and creates new videoclips for them, as a tribute to this Vietnamese singer.
