- Louis Blues, Winnipeg Jets, and Pittsburgh Penguins. Maxwell was born in North Bay, Ontario and raised in Lethbridge, Alberta.
- He is a former head coach of the ECHL hockey team, the Victoria Salmon Kings, out of Victoria, British Columbia.
