About Sawao Yamanaka
- Sawao Yamanaka (?? ???, Yamanaka Sawao) (born December 7, 1968) is the frontman of the bands: The Pillows, with Yoshiaki Manabe and Shinichiro Sato, and The Predators, with drummer, Shinpei, from Straightener, and bassist, Jiro, from Glay.
- Sawao also did a side project with his brother, Hidetoshi, called Spiky Brothers, and produced 2 demo tapes with 10 songs in total.
- He also appeared in a movie called Colors of life. Yamanaka's catch-phrase is "Oh Yeah!", this is popular among many of his fans.
- Yamanaka uses this phrase countless times during shows, in, and in between songs.
- He is an avid fan of the popular 90's grunge group Nirvana (band), and performed a cover of their song Breed during The Pillows' concert at Slim's Live Music Club in 2005.
